Rich Salon is a Human Resources expert, Career Transition Coach, Author, and Speaker. His expertise and understanding of the HR world come from living in it for 25 years. As a corporate leader, he has held critical roles at leading companies. Rich works closely with business leaders to create and sustain a prominent level of career fulfillment, employee engagement, and trust within organizations, resulting in an improved employee-to-employer relationship.
Rich has been a successful HR leader at The Home Depot, Penske, and Lowe’s. He also worked tirelessly to keep Circuit City afloat.

Career highlights and recognition include being named Hero of the Economy by CNN for work performed at Circuit City and earning the nickname “chief engagement officer” at a major corporation. Facilitating employee engagement training at multiple Fortune 500 companies has provided the inspiration needed to leaders in their quest to attain higher levels of trust and engagement. He is also known throughout his profession as “Rich-the-HR-Guy,” a nickname given to him while serving in a leadership capacity at The Home Depot.

As a Career Transition Coach, he has published two books, Career Trust, and Unleashing Your Career, to help people achieve more career fulfillment. Both books inspire people to find their career purpose, while never compromising the level of fulfillment they seek.

Everything Rich pursues professionally focuses on helping people and based on his passions and talents, he has become a single source for all matters pertaining to careers.

Outside of work, Rich has dedicated himself to making his community and the world better. He currently holds three leadership roles within Rotary International and was previously awarded the organization’s prestigious People of Action Award. After he retires, Rich will serve as a wish-granter for adults diagnosed with a terminal illness, doing this in honor of his mother.
