John S Fareed

John Fareed is Global Chairman of Horwath HTL, the world’s largest hotel, tourism and leisure consultancy. The hundred-year-old firm boasts 250 senior consultants working out of sixty offices in more than fifty countries. He is also author of "From Invisible to Icon: How to Become a Known Expert in Your Industry," published by Post Hill Press and distributed by Simon and Schuster. The book discusses John’s personal and professional journey from US Marine to successful magician—performing in casinos, on cruise ships and in night clubs such as the famed Magic Castle in Hollywood—to internationally recognized hotel, tourism and leisure advisor. He has appeared as an HTL industry expert on national television programs including ABC News, CNN, and Fox News Network, in publications such as the New York Times, USA Today, and The Wall Street Journal. John holds two postgraduates, including a Master of Science degree from the Dublin Institute of Technology's School of Hospitality Management and Tourism in Dublin, Ireland, and a Hotel Real Estate Investments and Asset Management Certificate from Cornell University.
